Following the split of NJ Based alt/indie-rock act Super Satellite, Singer songwriter Christian Edwards and guitarist Tim Foster set out to work on a batch of brand new material, the end result of which is Sleepless Saints.

While in Super Satellite Edwards and Foster, toured the East Coast and Midwest extensively, opening for bands including the Gin Blossoms, The Atari’s, Life House, The Gourds to name a few, as well as picking up local, regional and national press, including a performance on Matt Pinfield’s morning show.

Edwards, a prolific song writer had a whole new batch of tunes he was anxious to get to work on. To flesh out the new material he and Tim brought drummer Daniel Macarone into the fold. Daniel is the former drummer and songwriter for NJ based band Shytalkers whose music has been featured on Degrassi and MTV’s the Real World. The three-man band returned to Stratosphere-Sound In New York to work with Grammy winning producer/engineer Geoff Sanoff, who’s former credits include Nada Surf, A Camp, School of Seven Bells and Motion City Soundtrack. While tracking the new material Sanoff suggested Greg Simpson of SubPop Indie act Obits to play bass on the album. After nearly a year in the studio, the guys produced the best work of their careers thus far, in the form of “Meditate On it.” A 10 track full length, which flows effortlessly through several threads of modern indie rock, with persistent twinges of Brit-Rock through out. The band have recruited Tim’s brother Sean Foster on bass and will be out on the road and touring extensively through out 2012, as well as releasing an EP recorded at Converse’s Rubber tracks studios in the fall.
